Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Branch Manager to lead and grow our North India operations, headquartered in Delhi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing regional business across northern markets, overseeing air and ocean freight, customs brokerage, pricing, and customer service functions. This is a strategic P&L role, ideal for a leader who inspires teams, builds processes, and drives expansion without micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regional Leadership: Oversee branch operations for Delhi and the North region; build presence in new northern markets through strategic expansion.
  • Business Development: Drive growth in air and ocean freight, customs clearance, and logistics services, ensuring alignment with national business goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and enforce robust SOPs across departments—including pricing, customer service, and operations—focusing on process efficiency and compliance.
  • P&L Ownership: Manage branch profitability, cost optimization, and revenue growth; prepare and review financial and performance reports.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team ensuring high engagement, performance accountability, and continuous skill development.
  • Customer & Vendor Relations: Build enduring relationships with key accounts, airlines, shipping lines, and customs stakeholders to enhance service quality and competitiveness.
  • Process Leadership: Champion structured workflows, digitization, and standardization across all regional operations with a strong emphasis on governance and documentation.
  • Strategic Coordination: Collaborate with corporate leadership to align regional goals with overall business strategy and ESG objectives.
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in freight forwarding with strong exposure to air, ocean, and customs operations.
  • Proven P&L ownership and successful experience in branch or regional management.
  • Strategic thinker with strong process orientation—able to design systems that scale without micro-level control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of pricing models, cost structures, and customer engagement in the logistics industry.
  • Tech-savvy with experience in ERP systems (e.g., Logisys, CargoWise) and digital process tools.
  • Preferably a graduate/postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or Business Administration.
