Role Description The Senior Branch Credit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for evaluating and approving credit proposals, ensuring adherence to credit policies, and maintaining portfolio quality for branch operations. The position involves reviewing financial statements, performing risk assessments, analyzing customer profiles, and setting appropriate credit limits. The manager will collaborate with branch teams to structure deals, monitor delinquency trends, and implement corrective actions where necessary. The role also includes preparing credit reports, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements to strengthen credit governance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong expertise in Credit Management and Credit, including assessment, structuring, and approval of credit proposals.
  • Candidates should possess solid Credit Risk Management skills, with the ability to identify, measure, and mitigate risks across portfolios.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to interpret financial data, cash flows, and market trends.
  • Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CFA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in branch-based credit roles within banking or NBFCs, preferably in retail or SME lending.
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with sales and operations teams.
  • Proficiency in using credit evaluation tools, financial modeling, and MS Office applications; familiarity with regulatory and compliance norms in Indian financial services.
