About the Role:

Elucidata is seeking a bioinformatics enthusiast for the role of Senior Bioinformatics Scientist in the Delivery Team. In this customer-facing role, you will apply bioinformatics skills to solve complex biological problems, improve the understanding of biological systems and diseases and accelerate drug discovery using machine learning and AI. The role requires strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and analyse multi-omics (proteomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics etc) biological data to derive relevant insights using state-of-the-art statistical methods.
  • Innovate to implement new tools and pipelines, improve existing pipelines and algorithms for different types of biological data analysis and visualization.
  • Understand and translate customer requirements into scientific plans, driving solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the domain to architect innovative solutions addressing client pain points.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships through timely delivery and exceptional service.
  • Identify growth opportunities with existing clients and explore new commercial avenues.
  • Support pre-sales activities with technical presentations, product demos, and proposal development.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. (with 2+ years of relevant experience) or Masters (with 3-5 years of relevant experience), in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biology or related technical discipline.
  • Expertise in single-cell transcriptomics data analysis, from preprocessing to actionable insight derivation.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for coding and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience working customer-facing projects with successful delivery records.

Good-to-have:

  • Experience with spatial transcriptomics data analysis (e.g., 10x Visium, MERFISH) and integration with histological images (e.g., H&E staining).
  • Experience in performing integration analysis of NGS data across different modalities.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies and scalable computing platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in biomedical data analysis.
  • Strong publishing record in peer-reviewed journals.
