Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior BIM Engineer (Mechanical) with 6+ years of expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary systems modeling and coordination. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership capability, advanced BIM knowledge, and experience handling complex coordination tasks across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and coordination of Mechanical & Electrical BIM models (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and Electrical)
  • Maintain and update BIM Model throughout the project life cycle
  • Manage multi-discipline coordination and resolve clashes efficiently
  • Review and interpret submittals, mechanical schedules, and floor plans
  • Create and manage advanced parametric families and BIM content libraries
  • Oversee model quality, standards, and compliance with BIM execution plans
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams
  • Participate in BIM Coordination meetings
  • Guide junior engineers and review their work for accuracy and quality
  • Produce shop drawings, installation drawings, Builder's Work drawings, and spool drawings.
  • Conduct BIM based quantity take-offs and support BOQ preparation
  • Ensure rigorous QA/QC processes and compliance with international standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in BIM for mechanical systems on international projects (US, Canada, UK)
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP), Navisworks and ACC.
  • Extensive experience in clash detection and coordination (Navisworks, Revizto or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms including Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Bluebeam, or ProjectWise.
  • Ability to independently review drawings, submittals, and schedules
  • Advanced skills in parametric family creation and customization
  • Understanding of BIM standards like ISO:19650, PAS 1192, BEP, EIR, etc.
  • Strong understanding of LOD 300-500 requirements, and workflows
  • Knowledge of Dynamo or scripting for Revit automation.
  • Experience in delivering as-built/BIM for FM models.

  • Autodesk Revit (MEP) – Advanced Level
  • Navisworks Manage (Clash Detection & Coordination)
  • AutoCAD
  • BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Dynamo (for automation and parametric workflows)
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced usage for BOQs and data handling)
  • Bluebeam / PDF markup tools (preferred)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in leading BIM teams or handling projects independently
  • Knowledge of international codes and standards
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with tools like AutoCAD, BIM 360, or similar platforms
