Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Senior BI Engineer / Data Architect with strong expertise in the Google Cloud ecosystem and Looker platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable data architectures, building insightful dashboards, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data warehouse/lakehouse architectures, including Medallion architecture.
- Develop interactive and high-performance dashboards using Looker Studio and Looker Studio Pro.
- Build and manage data models, semantic layers, and governed datasets in BigQuery.
- Integrate data from multiple sources using ETL/ELT pipelines within Google Cloud Platform.
- Optimize report and query performance using advanced SQL techniques and BigQuery BI Engine.
- Establish and enforce data governance, security, and access control best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions and visual insights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and performance issues across systems.
- Ensure adherence to UI/UX best practices in dashboard design for better user experience.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Looker Studio, Looker Studio Pro, and LookML
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and BigQuery
- Experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and GCP services
- Strong understanding of data modeling and semantic layer design
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization
- Knowledge of data governance and security frameworks
- Proficiency in Calculated Fields, RegEx, and data blending
- Good understanding of dashboard design principles and UI/UX
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Engineering / Data Architecture
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Google Cloud Platform and Looker ecosystem
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

- Experience with BigQuery BI Engine
