GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

Responsible for the administration and operational delivery of retirement benefit plans, partnering with third-party administrators, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate plan management, participant support, and regulatory compliance. Oversees retirement plan operations, communications, financial reconciliations, vendor management, and annual plan activities while driving process improvements, supporting projects and plan changes, and maintaining strong controls, governance, and documentation across U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico retirement programs.

This position reports through the People Operations teamwith a strong partnership with the Benefits Center of Excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The colleague is responsible for:

Operations & Governance

  • Oversee administration and operational delivery of retirement benefit plans across U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. (Defined Contribution/Defined Benefits)
  • Manage third-party administrators, vendors, financial reconciliations, funding activities, and annual plan events.
  • Support plan changes, acquisitions/divestitures, and ongoing retirement program initiatives.
  • Maintain governance, documentation, operational calendars, and administrative procedures.

Process Efficiency & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive process improvements across retirement plan operations and service delivery.
  • Standardize workflows and partner with vendors to reduce defects and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Improve reporting capabilities, controls, procedures, and knowledge resources.
  • Support implementation and optimization of participant-facing technologies and operational processes.

Compliance & Data Integrity

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to plan provisions and internal controls.
  • Monitor data accuracy, eligibility, enrollments, payroll and vendor data exchanges, and financial transactions.
  • Conduct reconciliations, SOX controls testing, UAT, and audits to maintain data integrity.
  • Maintain accurate plan documentation, participant notices, and administrative records.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, third-party administrators, and vendors to ensure seamless plan administration.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Recruiting, and Communications teams to align benefit operations.
  • Support participant inquiries, issue resolution, and retirement communications.
  • Support communication projects and provide guidance to colleagues regarding retirement benefits and processes.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Systems & Operational Expertise:Experience using Workday or similar HRIS/payroll systems to manage benefits administration, eligibility reporting, payroll deductions, data feeds, compliance reporting, and participant support.
  • Financial, Project & Testing Support:Background supporting financial operations, including funding, invoicing, reconciliations, budgets, and expense management, as well as UAT testing, process improvements, vendor initiatives, and plan-related projects.
  • Professional Development:Willingness to build retirement plan expertise through industry certifications, including International Foundation retirement plan certifications and PSCA Certified Plan Sponsor Professional training as part of onboarding and ongoing development.
