Senior Benefit Administrator Job Description :

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

  • Benchmark benefits to ensure appropriate positioning in market whilst achieving global harmonization where possible by developing cost effective recommendations
  • Support the review and negotiation of benefit plan renewals
  • Provided strategic oversight of company retirement offerings, including the creation and launch of pension schemes aligned to regulatory compliance, cost efficiency
  • Act as first point of contact for Benefits Set up related queries from local HR teams, escalating where necessary
  • Work towards becoming the subject matter expert in relation to Global Benefits Delivery
  • Support policy renewals and negotiations with full analysis
  • Support employee communications of benefits and wellbeing initiatives
  • Act as primary contact for insurers, brokers and manage the approved vendor & PO process for new providers
  • Governance and compliance of employee leave frameworks, ensuring alignment with local statutory regulations and consistent application across the organization.
  • Escalation contact for complex queries, and support for internal stakeholders
  • Guidance and support to junior benefits administrator and payroll administrators
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labour and social security regulations, where applicable
  • Assist with benefit due diligence for various projects such as mergers & acquisitions, supporting key stakeholders to ensure full comparisons are made and any issues/risks are highlighted
  • Support local HR teams on membership reviews to ensure data integrity

Skills Required:


  • 5+ years broad experience operating Global Benefits schemes, exhibiting progressive responsibility
  • 10 years of broad HR / Payroll experience
  • Advanced skills in Excel with the ability to data model and present the data to senior management to make informed decisions using PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with high attention to detail
  • HR Information Systems and benefits software, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with platforms like Workday or ServiceNow would be an added advantage
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Effective vendor management skills; managing contracts and collaboration with stakeholders
  • Confident, clear communicator with excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • High level of organization and time management
  • Ability to support the full life cycle of complex projects
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability
