Senior Bartender
Role Overview
Senior Bartender who will lead bar operations at Loco Otro, combining mixology expertise with team leadership. With 3 years of experience (preferred), you'll deliver high-quality drinks while mentoring junior staff and maintaining service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Cocktail Program & Service
- Prepare and serve classic and signature cocktails to consistent standards
- Execute innovative cocktail techniques batching, clarification, and creative serves
- Refine recipes with focus on flavour and balance
- Educate guests on cocktails, spirits, and bar offerings
Leadership & Training
- Train and mentor junior bartenders and barbacks on technique and service standards
- Lead by example in efficiency and station organisation
- Support Bar Manager & seniors in menu development and specials
- Motivate team to upsell and engage positively with guests
Operations & Standards
- Monitor inventory, requisitions, and par levels
- Ensure accurate pouring and portion control to minimise waste
- Uphold hygiene, cleanliness, and safety protocols
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Assist with stock-taking, ordering, and supplier coordination
Requirements
- 3 years professional bartending experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of classics, spirits, techniques, and modern mixology trends
- Excellent communication, guest service, and upselling skills
- Leadership capability to train and develop team members
- Discipline, speed, and consistency under pressure
