Senior Backend Engineer

Overview

AIFISE is building the infrastructure that powers identity automation and compliance for fintechs and financial institutions. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who is passionate about designing secure, scalable, and high performance systems. Key Responsibilities

You will work closely with engineering leadership, product managers, and cross functional teams to architect, build, and maintain both frontend and backend systems. Your work will include feature development, system optimization, performance improvements, and ensuring high standards of security and code quality across the stack.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience building backend systems at scale using Node.js and TypeScript
• Hands on experience with RESTful APIs, event driven architecture, and microservices
• Solid understanding of security principles, authentication systems, and data privacy compliance
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases including schema design and performance tuning
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Ability to lead technical decisions, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor other engineers
