About the Role:
We're looking for a mid-level Backend Engineer to join our founding team. You'll own backend systems, APIs, and infra on AWS. You'll be solving problems across scalability, fraud detection, and real-time data processing with huge ownership from day one.

- Location: On-site, South Delhi
Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable APIs and microservices with Node.js/NestJS (serverless on AWS Lambda)
- Architect and maintain secure, high-performance backend systems
- Work with large datasets across Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, and integrate event-driven systems with Kafka
- Implement and optimize fraud detection & prevention logic to protect platform integrity
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems for reliability, performance, and security
- Collaborate with frontend (React Native, Next.js, Reanimated, Redux Toolkit, React Query) to deliver seamless experiences
- Ensure compliance with data protection and security best practices
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
Requirements:
- 24 years of experience in backend roles (consumer or transactional products)
- Strong expertise in Node.js/NestJS and API design (REST/GraphQL)
- Hands-on experience deploying to AWS (Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, infra automation)
- Strong working knowledge of Postgres, Redis, MongoDB in production
- Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems
- Understanding of fraud detection algorithms, real-time data processing, and system security (preferred)
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup with ownership of end-to-end delivery
