Senior Backend Developer(Golang)

We are hiring for a high-impact Senior Backend Developer role with our client, an established property giant and the dominant real estate force across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Our client isn't seeking just a coder—they want a systems thinker who can architect robust backend solutions under tight timelines for fintech-enabled real estate platforms.

Core Responsibilities

• Architectural Ownership:
• Design and implement scalable microservices using Golang (primary) or Node.js/TypeScript (new projects)
• Lead end-to-end system design: DB schemas, orchestration patterns, event-driven flows (Kafka queues, workers)
• Distributed Systems & Async Design:
• Build fault-tolerant workflows with polling, counters, optimistic/pessimistic locking for race conditions
• Implement tokenization, encryption-at-rest, and secure data handling for compliance-heavy domains

Performance & Reliability:

• Optimize for high-throughput: sharding, materialized views, efficient querying across distributed data stores
• Ensure systems handle real-world edge cases like partial failures and state management
• Technical Leadership:
• Guide design discussions, mentor on backend best practices, articulate reasoning behind choices
• Collaborate cross-team to align on APIs, data flows, and scalability trade-offs

Production Excellence:

Deploy to Kubernetes/Docker, integrate with AWS services, maintain CI/CD pipelines

Technical Profile

Primary Stack - Golang:

• 7+ years hands-on Go: goroutines, channels, context handling, gRPC/REST APIs

• Proven orchestration: event-driven systems, workers, DB polling for state management

• Secondary Stack - Node.js/TypeScript:
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs, NestJS/Express microservices, TypeScript for type-safe backends
• Field-level security patterns, async processing at scale

Backend Fundamentals (10+ years total):

• Distributed systems: Kafka/RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL/MongoDB, schema evolution
• Security mindset: encryption, token auth, access controls (owner-only mutations)
• Tools: Docker, K8s, Elasticsearch, AWS (Lambda/EC2/RDS)

Key Traits:

• Explains designs from first principles (not memorized solutions)
• Adapts quickly to feedback (e.g., per-record vs. user-level tokens)
• Clear articulation of complex ideas like race condition handling
