Senior Azure DevOps Engineer/Developer

An Azure DevOps Engineer/Developer is responsible for managing the Azure cloud infrastructure and supporting the software development process. Their duties include designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing and monitoring cloud resources, automating infrastructure deployment, and collaborating with development teams to ensure efficient and effective delivery of software products. Other responsibilities may include maintaining security and compliance standards, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing system performance. To be successful in this role, candidates should have a strong understanding of Azure cloud services, DevOps principles, and software development practices. They should also have experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Azure Resource Manager, as well as strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
The DevOps engineer have expertise in utilising Microsoft's Azure DevOps and are experienced in Software Development Lifecycle and application development using Agile methodologies, must be familiar with Azure administration and development. Also, expertise of designing and implementing strategies for:

Responsibilities:
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes: The candidate should have a good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes and be able to deploy web and microservices on these platforms. They should also be familiar with containerization and container orchestration concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools: The candidate must have experience with Azure DevOps. They should be able to create and manage pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications on Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell is also essential for automating the deployment process.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture: Understanding of microservices architecture is important for deploying microservices on Kubernetes. They should be familiar with concepts like service discovery, load balancing, and scaling.
• Attention to security: The candidate should have a good understanding of security best practices for deploying applications on Docker and Kubernetes. They should be able to configure security settings and handle vulnerabilities that might arise.
• Troubleshooting skills: Finally, the candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues that might arise during deployment. They should be able to analyse logs and metrics to identify the root cause of problems and take corrective actions.
• Monitoring and upgrading the organisation's software capabilities to improve the development lifecycle.
