Role Overview
We are looking for a
versatile integration engineer with strong expertise in
Azure APIs, cloud integrations, and data architecture fundamentals. The candidate should be capable of working across integration, data platforms, and governance-focused environments rather than being limited to a single tool.
Key Responsibilities
API & Integration Design:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Azure-native services
- Implement integrations using Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, and Data Factory
- Support real-time and batch integration patterns
- Leverage AI tools for development, testing, and problem-solving
Cloud & Data Platform Collaboration
- Work closely with data engineers and architects
- Integrate data pipelines and analytical platforms (including Azure Databricks)
- Ensure scalability, performance, and fit-for-purpose integrations
Data Architecture & Quality
- Apply data architecture fundamentals (schemas, canonical models, metadata)
- Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring
Governance & Compliance
- Align integrations with data governance standards (ownership, lineage, access controls)
- Collaborate with governance and stewardship teams
Operational Excellence
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations
- Support CI/CD pipelines and versioning
- Maintain clear technical documentation
Required Skills
- 7–10 years in integration/API engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure integration services
- RESTful APIs, messaging, event-driven architectures
- Understanding of data architecture and data flows
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Azure Databricks experience
- Data quality frameworks and observability tools
- Data governance exposure (metadata, lineage, stewardship)
- Security concepts (OAuth, Managed Identities, RBAC)
- Experience with enterprise-scale data platforms
