Job overview and responsibilities

As a Senior Automation Test Engineer for Digital Technology at United Airlines, you will be responsible for the delivery of enterprise software testing projects and programs, operation and capital projects with automation first approach. In this role, you will design, implement, and execute automation test approach and strategies and frameworks for all deliverables. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Quality Managers and Quality Leads to implement quality governance, quality gates, risk assessment, production signoffs, key metrics (KPIs), and tools selection.
You should have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Additionally, you should be well versed in using Gen AI to bring in innovation/efficiency in your role and responsibilities.

u2022 Lead the design and implementation of automation and manual test strategies for various software and systems utilizing best practices and standards.
u2022 Collaborate with software developers, QE analysts, and system engineers to identify system requirements and ensure quality is met from test planning to production deployment with automation first approach.
u2022 Own and maintain automation artifacts, tools, licenses & framework. Govern automation standards & best practices. Conduct automation audits and assess ROIs.
u2022 Manage and mitigate testing related risks and issues.
u2022 Identify and maintain testing KPI's, track trends and own the power BI reports.
u2022 Integrate automation frameworks with continuous integration and deployment pipelines
u2022 Leverage AI when contributing to end-to-end testing (Automation frameworks etc.)

Whatu2019s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience
u2022 4 years of relevant work experience
u2022 6+ years of Test Automation experience.
u2022 AWS Cloud Practitioner
ISTQB / CSTE or similar
u2022 Programming Language expertise u2013 Java
u2022 Design, Develop and maintain scalable hybrid test automation frameworks (BDD/JUnit/TestNG)
u2022 Ability to architect solutions across the stack: Web(Selenium), API(RestAssured), Mobile(Appium)
u2022 Experience with Containerization and Cloud Execution Grids (BrowserStack, Sauce labs, Selenium Grid)
u2022 Design Patterns and Framework Design Concepts
u2022 Agile & Waterfall Methodologies and STLC across, Release Management
u2022 Create/Support DevOps CICD implementation in AWS/GCP or similar
u2022 Test Data Modeling and Data level testing with RDBMS or NoSQL based structure
u2022 Able to work with distributed global teams.
