Job Description – Senior Test Automation Engineer (Playwright + Python)

Role Overview
We are looking for a
Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in
Playwright and Python to join our Quality Engineering team.
In this role, you will design, build, and scale robust automation frameworks while ensuring high-quality product delivery across web and API applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to improving automation practices, CI/CD integration, and overall testing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright with Python
- Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks (POM / reusable components)
- Perform UI, API, and end-to-end automation testing
- Execute automated test suites, analyse results, and report defects effectively
- Debug and resolve issues in test scripts and frameworks
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Azure / GitHub Actions)
- Collaborate with developers, product teams, and QA members to understand requirements
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable test scripts
- Drive improvements in automation strategy, coverage, and execution speed
- Mentor junior engineers and support team knowledge sharing
- Maintain documentation of test scripts and frameworks
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Playwright automation using Python
- Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns (POM, modular frameworks)
- Hands-on experience in API testing (REST, JSON, Postman, etc.)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Git (version control – pull, push, merge, conflict resolution)
- Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation execution strategies
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies
- Experience in cross-browser testing and parallel execution
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
