Responsibilities:
- Guiding and mentoring the automation team on technical and functional aspects
- Providing solutions for automation-related technical challenges and team queries
- Reviewing code, sharing feedback, and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Reviewing and merging PRs, resolving conflicts, and maintaining code quality
- Supporting troubleshooting, defect analysis, RCA, and issue resolution
- Analysing failures in scheduled and on-demand CI/CD runs, and guiding the team on fixes
- Bringing hands-on experience in setting up and managing automation execution through CI/CD pipelines
- Driving test stability, reliability, and maintainability across the automation suite
- Tracking, monitoring, and reporting automation progress, quality metrics, execution status, and key risks to stakeholders
- Publishing regular status updates, dashboards, and insights on automation coverage, pass/fail trends, and improvement areas
- Identifying opportunities for innovation, process optimization, and productivity improvement within the automation practice
- Recommending enhancements to frameworks, utilities, reusable components, and overall automation strategy
- Ensuring proper documentation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of standard processes across the team
- Supporting planning, prioritization, and execution ownership for automation deliverables
- Proactively highlighting risks, dependencies, blockers, and improvement opportunities to leadership
Required Skills:
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver / Serenity BDD
- Proficiency in Java programming
- Familiarity with Cucumber and Gherkin frameworks
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins
- Experience with GitHub for version control
- Understanding of test management tools like Xray
