About The Role
We are looking for a
Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in
JavaScript and Playwright to join our growing quality engineering team. This role requires a proactive individual who can design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks while ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript
- Build and enhance automation frameworks for UI and API testing
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Perform cross-browser testing and ensure application stability
- Identify, track, and report defects effectively using test management / bug tracking tools
- Continuously improve test coverage, execution time, and framework efficiency
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to automation best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7–9 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript
- Proven experience in Playwright automation framework
- Experience with API testing (REST APIs, tools like Postman/RestAssured equivalent in JS)
- Good understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Good analytical and debugging skills
Good to Have
- Experience with performance or security testing basics
- Knowledge of TypeScript
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, etc.)
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
