Senior Automation Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate must have strong test‑automation expertise, solid knowledge of capital‑markets equity products, a good understanding of the FIX protocol, and sound software‑testing fundamentals, together with high analytical ability and attention to detail.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, design and execute functional as well as automation test cases.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts using UFT, API‑based automation tools, and the Robot Framework..
• Apply analytical and logical programming skills at a conceptual level.
• Demonstrate a proactive, agile, independent, and self‑motivated work style.
• Software‑testing fundamentals
• Jira, Confluence (Wiki), ServiceNow
• Scripting: Windows commands, shell scripting, Python scripting
• Strong problem‑solving approach and analytical skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE (MUST‑HAVE)

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• MCA, B.E./B.Tech or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven hands‑on experience with UFT, API‑based automation tools, and the Robot Framework.
• In‑depth knowledge of the FIX protocol and capital‑markets equity products.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux, SQL, and Python scripting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deliver results in a high‑pressure environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE (NICE‑TO‑HAVE)

• Familiarity with additional testing tools or continuous‑integration pipelines.
• Exposure to other programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, PowerShell).
• Prior experience in the APAC equities‑trading domain.
• Python (including libraries for test automation)
