Role Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst with 6-8 years of experience to support the verification and validation of software solutions through functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure software quality, reliability, and compliance with business requirements. This role involves test execution, defect analysis, documentation, and active participation in Agile development cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Execution
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for functional verification and UAT.
- Develop and execute detailed test scripts while ensuring thorough test coverage across key business processes.
- Work collaboratively with developers and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and scope.
Issue Investigation and Analysis
- Identify, track, and document defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues across the system.
- Conduct root cause analysis, report defects effectively, and coordinate resolutions with development teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation strategies.
Documentation and Support
- Maintain and update test plans, test cases, and test data in alignment with evolving requirements.
- Assist in the review and refinement of user documentation to ensure clarity and completeness.
Integration and Business Process Testing
- Perform integration and end-to-end scenario testing, ensuring seamless interactions between systems.
- Validate business workflows and test cross-functional scenarios to ensure system accuracy.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, Agile SDLC, and defect management processes.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams to drive software quality.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent).
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity at the database level (preferred).
- Familiarity with manual and automated testing practices.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration to drive alignment across teams.
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation, test coverage, and issue tracking.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to integration testing tools and automation frameworks.
- Experience in business domains such as finance, healthcare, or e-commerce (if applicable).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
