Role Description The Senior Associate Veterinarian is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, working closely with veterinary teams and clinic leadership to deliver high-quality clinical care and support practice growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, conducting routine and advanced procedures, and providing preventive care guidance to pet caregivers. The role involves collaborating with support staff to ensure smooth patient flow, accurate medical records, and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The Senior Associate Veterinarian will mentor junior veterinarians and support staff, contribute to clinical decision-making, and participate in client education initiatives that align with VetXplore's mission of helping veterinary businesses grow. The position may also involve engagement with VetXplore's partner clinics and organizations to support clinical excellence and best practices across the network.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical veterinary skills, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and performance of routine procedures and surgeries.
- Experience in small animal practice, with familiarity in preventive care, internal medicine, and basic emergency care.
- Excellent communication and client counseling skills to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care clearly and compassionately.
- Team leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide junior veterinarians and support staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Solid organizational and record-keeping skills, including accurate medical documentation and adherence to clinic protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy on-site clinical setting, manage multiple cases, and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and openness to industry-specific business growth concepts and best practices.
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc or equivalent) and valid veterinary license/registration for practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Prior experience in a senior or associate veterinarian role is preferred; exposure to multi-clinic or corporate practice settings is an advantage.
