Transport - Senior Associate
Transport Senior Associate, coordinates employee transport requests in respective EYGDS India center. The position is responsible for ensuring safe commute of employees, and strict adherence to the local government guidelines/ regulations. developing and implementation of transportation policies.
Your key responsibilities
- Assist in implementation of safe transportation practices, fulfilling local government regulations.
- Track ongoing route efficiencies, recommend alternate solutions to improve efficiency and achieve optimum operating cost.
- Participate in ongoing sessions to educate and ensure drivers awareness of EYGDS policy/ procedures/ protocols, pertinent to the transportation function.
- Support in Implementation of policies and procedures, to ensure smooth operations and compliance with the prevailing regulatory norms.
- Monitor & adhere to defined schedules and methods for providing transport services.
- Track preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all transport vehicles & devices. Participate training sessions to elevate understanding of strict compliance periodic maintenance, safety, procedures and processes.
- Demonstrate awareness of, and appreciation for, individual uniqueness and diversity. Display a friendly, inclusive, service-oriented environment for all team members and Transport service provider staff.
- Maintain a positive relationship with team members and colleagues
- Coordinate transport department's work plans/ activity schedules for periodically.
- Track & report ongoing transport status, proposed plans and schedules and assigns priority, on periodic basis.
- Reviews service requests, complaints and feedback from customers. Participate in discussions with customers to address issues/ concerns.
- Implements compliance with approved policies, procedures, and processes reviews and updates written maintenance SOPs, instructions and manuals.
- Request procurement of services, associated with transport services, to acquire professional services from qualified agencies.
- Ensures compliance with EYGDS procurement policy/ protocols, and secure purchase orders ahead of engaging suppliers.
- Monitor operation expenses, recommends and implements corrective spending plans.
- Participates in EY's Climate control initiatives discussions and adopt new ways of operations/services to support the EY's sustainability initiatives.
- Responds to emergency situations as required.
- Support implementation of new programs, as needed and provide guidance from Transport operation perspectives.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships during all interactions with team/ cross functions and Service provider staff on site
Skills and attributes for success
- Knowledge of location safety & compliance regulations
- Should consistently demonstrate Organization, time management, prioritizing and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
- Knowledge of transport services, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to employee transport services
- Excellent public relations and customer relationship management skills
- Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter
- Excellent communication skills - Should be able communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Be able to Organize, implement and direct transport operations and activities
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 4-6 years of subject matter experience, with 2 years experience in coordinating similar role in comparable organizations, with sound knowledge & experience, in employee transport services domain.
- Bachelor's degree in business, or equivalent professional level experience
