Job Purpose:The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the Wealth Management, Investment, and Insurance sectors at DBS. This individual will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying requirements, and collaborating with various stakeholders to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, improve customer experience, and ensure regulatory compliance across these interconnected financial domains.
Key Requirements:
- Business Process Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes within Wealth Management, Investment, and Insurance operations, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. This includes understanding end-to-end processes for handling online and offline transactions related to Mutual Funds, Alternate Investments, and Banca products.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for new and enhanced products, services, and systems.
- Solution Design & Implementation: Collaborate with product owners, technology teams, and other stakeholders to design viable solutions, translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring successful implementation.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a key liaison between business units (e.g., COO office, Business Management Unit, Investment Product Owners, Relationship Managers) and technology/support functions (e.g., Compliance, Legal, Finance), ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Support the development of test strategies, scenarios, and cases, and actively participate in testing activities to ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all proposed solutions and implemented processes adhere to relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks specific to Wealth Management, Investment, and Insurance.
- Product Lifecycle Support: Contribute to the end-to-end product lifecycle, including the creation and update of financial products like Mutual Funds and
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analysis techniques to provide insights into business performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements, system improvements, and innovative solutions to drive business growth and operational excellence.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on Wealth Management, Investment products (e.g., Mutual Funds, bonds), and/or Insurance.
- Strong understanding of financial products and services, regulatory landscape, and operational processes within the Wealth Management, Investment, and Insurance domains.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., process mapping, use cases, user stories).
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with technologies and systems used in financial services, including core banking systems, wealth management platforms (e.g., Finacle WMS), and risk management tools. Experience with AI-powered tools for user story generation or data analysis is a plus.
