Position Responsibilities
The following are the critical responsibilities of this position, listed in order of importance. Percentages reflect time allocation (total = 100%):
- Project Delivery – O2C and GTS – 40%
- Deliver O2C, GTS project implementation, rollouts, enhancements, and support, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Testing, Quality & Compliance – 20%
- Ensure Testing, Quality Assurance, Process Optimization, Reporting, Analytics, and Compliance.
- Cross-Functional Integration (WRICEF) – 30%
- Work on WRICEF objects ensuring effective cross-functional integration and seamless external systems integration.
- Team Alignment and Development – 10%
- Ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Foster growth, skill development, and seamless team integration.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business processes and design solutions.
- Acting as an internal consultant and design architect for SAP global solutions, working with Business Partners.
- Developing, prototyping, testing, and implementing solution improvements to increase stability, usability, and functionality to support business objectives.
- Responsible for SAP Global Trade, O2C Billing, and reporting to ZICC Product Expert.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and release notes.
- Understanding of SAP ERP/S4HANA systems and possessing strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Engaging in continuous performance tuning and reengineering of existing integrations to improve processing efficiency and reduce latency.
Organizational Relationships
This position regularly interacts with:
- Business stakeholders to gather integration requirements, understand business processes, and align solutions with organizational objectives.
- Project planning teams for SAP projects, including risk assessment and scheduling.
- External vendors or partners providing integrated software or services.
- Implementation partners responsible for deploying, configuring, or maintaining SAP-integrated solutions.
- Internal development teams to implement and support integration solutions.
Education and Experience
Education (Required):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience (Required):
- 8+ years of combined SAP O2C experience, with at least 4 years in SAP GTS and multiple full lifecycle implementations.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of existing business processes and SAP capabilities to design optimal solutions.
- Experience working across regional and global boundaries in cross-divisional, cross-functional environments.
- Preferred background in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
- Domain expertise in SAP GTS Compliance, Customs, and Risk Management.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and E4 HANA preferred.
- Participation in complex SAP implementation and migration projects, including S/4HANA transformations.
- Experience with international projects and standard IT practices including project management and operational service delivery.
Technical Skills Requirements
SAP GTS Expertise:
- Support deployment in US and global regions.
- Intercompany billing and export sales scenario solutions.
- Post-PGI process experience (billing, accounts receivable) preferred.
- Deep knowledge of:
- Business Partners, Products, and Classifications
- SPL & Embargoes
- License Management & Re-Exports
- Customs Management (Exports, Imports, Transits, self-filing)
- Broker integration and 3PL systems
- Customs value calculation and data defaults
- Bill of lading, FTZ, and special customs procedures
- Preference determination, supplier and customer declarations
- LTVD, Country of Origin, and Identity-Based Preference processing (preferred)
SAP O2C Expertise:
- Billing and Credit Management
- Accounts Receivable and Cash Applications
- FSCM - Collections and Dispute Modules (preferred)
- Experience with document archiving systems (e.g., OpenText for billing & AR)
- Hands-on with O2C User Exits and ABAP developer coordination
- Debugging skills as needed
Physical Position Requirements
- Regular working hours are from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM EST (ICC Second Shift).
- Additional overlap with EST time zone may be required during production go-live.
