Aquis Search has partnered with a leading global private equity platform in their search for a Senior Associate in Mumbai to support control buyout investments in India. The role sits in the core deal team and provides significant exposure to investment evaluation, execution, and value creation across sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end deal execution: screening, valuation, modelling, diligence, and transaction documentation
- Build detailed financial models (LBO / operating model) and investment committee materials
- Coordinate workstreams with external advisors (legal, accounting, commercial diligence, financing)
- Engage with management teams and support negotiations through signing/closing
- Support portfolio monitoring and value creation initiatives post-acquisition
Candidate profile
- Current Senior Associate with a global Private Equity player, with a strong control buyout deal track record
- Prior experience in top-tier Investment Banking (M&A / coverage) or leading strategy consulting, followed by private equity investing
- Current or recent experience at a buyout / control-oriented private equity fund (not early-stage VC / growth equity / mid-market investing)
- Exceptional quantitative skills + strong commercial judgement; confident stakeholder manager
- Education: Top-tier undergraduate and/or MBA preferred
