ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Senior Associate to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will assist in research, due diligence, investment analysis, and post-investment monitoring. You will work closely with senior leadership to drive deal execution, deepen sectoral expertise, and enhance fund performance.

The role will primarily be based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities
1. Deal Sourcing

. Lead deal sourcing, screening, and analysing of new investment opportunities.

. Utilise and integrate tools that enable systematic and at-scale pipeline management, e.g. CRM, data infrastructure, automation, and integrated applications

. Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, advisors, and partners as well as potential co-investors and ecosystem partners to build the pipeline of start-ups.

2. Investment Research & Analysis

. Conduct market, sector, and company research, including understanding industry dynamics, key players, and sector strategies, to support investment thesis development.

. Lead due diligence interviews, gathering data, identifying risks, and summarizing findings to recommend opportunities into the Investment Committee process

. Build and maintain financial models and analyse key financial, operational and comparable metrics that drive underwriting scenarios.

3. Portfolio & Fund Support

. Construct and maintain fund financial model to enumerate portfolio construction scenarios

. Support investment execution, approval processes, portfolio monitoring, and value creation initiatives.

. Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity.

4. Project Management & Team Collaboration

. Manage projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.

. Prepare clear reports, presentations, and investment memos.

. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

. Support junior colleagues, contribute to team culture, and seek continuous improvement.

Identify and resolve issues proactively while demonstrating initiative and professionalism.

Job Requirements
At least 3 to 5years of experience/ track record in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or equivalent.

Experience in the sectors of maritime, circular economy, water, or related ocean investment thematic

Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related disciplines.
A professional qualification, such as CFA and/or a postgraduate qualification, such as MBA, would be highly regarded.

Highly numerate with knowledge of financial analysis and valuation methodologies

Experience indue diligence from a financial, accounting, or operational perspective

Strong business acumen with a passion for investments

Strong communication, both verbal and written, and project management skills

Inquisitive, resourceful, meticulous, responsible, and self-motivated

A self-starter who can work effectively in a dynamic corporate environment

A team player who is also able to work independently in small teams and across cultures
