Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Reporting to the Team Leader and Unit Head, this position is responsible for managing a portfolio of listed issuers
- Acquired ability to detect non-compliance of listing rules and confident in responding to queries and providing advice on simple to moderate listing matters
- Acquired initiative and able to exercise good judgement in processing and prioritizing applications within the requisite KPI timelines
- Monitor compliance with listing rules and liaising with issuers on regulatory issues
- Investigate potential breaches of listing rules
- Following up on enforcement and disciplinary actions where breaches have occurred
- Processing of simple to moderate corporate actions within relevant timeframe
- Attend meetings concerning his/her portfolio and be able to address the main issues during the meetings and take minutes of such matters.
- Contribute to team goals
- Contribute to initiatives for fine-tuning and enhancing the Listing Compliance framework to support product and market growth and development and to sustain market relevant regulations and to retain first mover advantage
- Contribute to initiatives for maintaining/improving appropriate and relevant systems, procedures and databases to ensure effective and efficient execution of Listing Compliance functions
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders from business units to issuers and market professionals including investment bankers, solicitors, auditors and other regulators
Position Deliverables
- Ensure consistent, transparent, balanced and effective regulation of issuers which will instill confidence in market and issuers.
- Build up the quality of market and relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve simple to moderately complex problems
- Exercise initiative, reasonable judgement and discretion under medium supervision
- Meticulous and accurate in reviewing and processing information
- Ability to communicate decisions and information clearly and accurately
- Must possess a good knowledge of listing rules
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business/Accountancy/Business Administration/ Economics/Law
- Candidates should preferably be able to understand financial statements
- Graduates from any other discipline may apply if applicant possesses strong analytical skills and is comfortable with numbers
- 2-3 years of working experience
- Analytical, written and verbal communication skills are important
- Energetic Team player with ability to work independently as required.
- Executive level experience working within the financial industry, especially in corporate finance, auditing, investment and research of listed companies, is highly preferred
- Meticulous
- Good understanding of listing rules and its applications and industry's best practices will be an advantage
