Job Description

Role Overview:

The Legal Associate/Executive will support the organization's legal operations by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and providing legal guidance on business transactions. This role requires strong legal acumen, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Should be able to interact with external agencies, lawyers, law firms, government departments in connection with company's work
  • Legal Research: Conduct research on laws, regulations, and case precedents relevant to the company's operations.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with finance, HR, and operations teams on legal matters.
  • Litigation and notice management: Able to manage any litigation and notices
  • Day-to-day legal operations: Conduct routine legal activities

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B) or equivalent; additional qualification regarding data privacy, data protection laws will be preferred
  • Experience: 36 years in corporate legal practice or in-house counsel role.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of contract law and corporate regulations.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and contract management tools.
  • Ability to use AI tools

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
