Qualification

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Qualified
• 1 – 3 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect Tax / GST

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and technically strong professional to join the Indirect Tax practice as a Senior Associate. The role requires hands-on experience in GST compliance, advisory, and litigation matters across diverse industries. The candidate should possess strong analytical capabilities, client management skills, and the ability to independently manage assignments within timelines.

Key Responsibilities

GST Compliance

• Preparation and review of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C
• Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual GST compliances for clients across sectors
• Reconciliation of GST data with books of accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Assisting clients in GST registrations, amendments, LUT filings, refunds, and departmental correspondences
• Reviewing input tax credit workings and GST health checks

Advisory

• Research and analysis of GST provisions, notifications, circulars, and judicial precedents
• Drafting technical opinions, advisory notes, and client communications
• Supporting clients on transaction structuring, tax positions, and GST implications
• Assisting in GST impact assessments and process reviews
• Keeping track of evolving GST regulations and industry developments

Litigation

• Assisting in handling GST assessments, audits, investigations, and notices
• Drafting replies to departmental notices and preparing submissions
• Supporting representation matters before tax authorities
• Compilation and preparation of litigation documents and case summaries
• Assisting senior team members in ongoing disputes and appellate matters

Desired Skill Set

• Strong understanding of GST laws and indirect tax framework
• Exposure to compliance, advisory, and litigation assignments
• Good drafting, interpretation, and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong stakeholder management and client servicing orientation

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience in:

• CA firms / consulting firms
• Indirect tax practice handling diversified clients
• GST audits, notices, and advisory assignments

will be preferred.
