Senior Associate, India Finance (Hyderabad)

It is a technology leader specializing in software solutions for life science research and development. We are a rapidly growing life sciences company, with both a technology business and a drug discovery business, looking to hire a Senior Associate, India Finance for our Hyderabad location to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders (POs) and work orders in alignment with internal corporate financial policies and spending limits
• Verify & process vendor invoices by executing 3-way matching for various goods and services received
• Manage end-to-end master data records for vendors and employees including but not limited to onboarding, tax identification, banking setup and accurate profile configuration in Oracle NetSuite
• Verify employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card statements against internal travel and expense (T&E) policies, ensuring proper receipt documentation before scheduling disbursements
• Execute accounting tasks, including booking day-to-day bills, issuing bill payments, executing month-end close accruals, prepaid expense amortization schedules & posting relevant journal entries
• Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements and cash flow reports to accurately track cash movements
• Accurately calculate, deposit, and file periodic direct and indirect tax liabilities, including Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Goods and Services Tax (GST)
• Generate Management Information System (MIS) financial reports for senior leadership. Gather, organize, and present supporting documentation for internal and external financial audits
• Coordinate across internal teams / external vendors across multiple geographies to resolve financial queries and actively drive process automation and efficiency enhancements
  
  

What You'll Need

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance with 6 to 8 years of relevant hands-on experience, or CA-IPCC qualification with 3 to 5 years of progressive operational experience
• Advanced practical knowledge of general accounting principles, accounts payable workflows, treasury management, fixed asset tracking, and process optimization methodologies
• Practical working proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (G-Suite) productivity tools
• Proficiency in Indian statutory tax regulations, including practical application and monthly filing procedures for GST and TDS is preferred
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, specifically Oracle NetSuite, along with familiarity with US GAAP reporting standards
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and reconciliation skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proven ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and communicate clearly with international teams
