Senior Associate-Electronics & Instrumentation

ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic and motivated Indian nationals for the position of Senior Associate-Electronics & Instrumentation position to support ICRISAT's Farm and Engineering Services under Corporate Services. This position is based at the Headquarters atPatancheru, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

ICRISAT conducts research on its mandate crops of chickpea, pigeonpea, groundnut, sorghum, pearl millet and finger millet in the arid and semi-arid tropics. The Institute focuses its work on the drylands and in protecting the environment. Tropical dryland areas are usually seen as resource-poor and perennially beset by shocks such as drought, thereby trapping dryland communities in poverty and hunger and making them dependent on external aid. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work independently as a team member with other Technicians in repair, maintenance of laboratory instruments, telephones, office equipment, Fire Alarm system, Wireless communication system, CC camera system, Public address system etc.
• Provide Technical Assistance during Institute event, Conferences and Workshops.
• Should display initiative to be available beyond normal working hours / off days, as and when required in the interest of work.
• Execute timely & quality delivery of various works of the Unit with all safety guidelines & protocols.
• Undertake work schedules & PPM activities in time, ensure record are maintained, and provide regular feedback to unit supervisor.
• Engage with inter-disciplinary teams in multi-cultural environment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Requirements:

• Should have ITI/Diploma in Electronics or Electronics and Instrumentation.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a Service/ Manufacture sector of Electronics & Instrumentation equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics, technical drawings and should possess good trouble shooting skills.
• Should have basic knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of office equipment such as printers, scanners, photocopiers, and related peripherals. Should have basic knowledge in operation of PA system.
• Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, including sensor integration, microcontroller-based systems, data acquisition, and communication protocols will be an added advantage
• Should have basic computer skills in MS office.
• Should be willing to stay in campus subject to availability.

General:

This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (03 years), renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute's continuing need for the position.
