We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate - Client Facing Technology

In This Role, You Will

  • The Client Facing Technology (CFT) team acts as a technical on-boarding service between HSBC's Synthetics & Cash Prime Brokerage business and external clients. The CFT team owns and manage technical connectivity set-up between HSBC and its clients. The CFT team is responsible for organizing and managing the technical, end-to-end on-boarding process of new clients.
  • The CFT team acts as central point and co-ordinator between Client, Fund Admins, Vendors, Middle Office providers and internal HSBC teams, linking inbound & outbound trade flow together for external client reporting. As part of the on-boarding process, the CFT team is also responsible for analyzing, design and testing of system enhancements relating to external client requirements. The CFT team works closely with HSBCs Client Management and Transition team.
  • Own and manage requirements gathering for operational order, execution flow, working with trading desks and technical teams. Own the requirements gathering process for all technical Prime client on-boarding. Work closely with a wide range of external parties such as external clients, fund administrators, vendors, middle office providers as well as multiple business and technical teams internal to HSBC.
  • Delivering client connectivity and requirements such as SFTP, HTTPS, Trade Allocation & Matching, SWIFT, Client Locates & Availability and T+1 Client & Regulatory Reporting.
  • Support the Transition and Client Management team globally to manage and prioritize all projects and client asks. Chair and coordinate regular meetings with these front office teams.
  • Build-up a comprehensive knowledge base of technical connectivity across various mediums and the financial sector. Document the domain knowledge on the relevant internal repository.
  • Timely responses are required for the client / our business team's queries or technical issues. System troubleshooting and problem solving across the platforms and teams.
  • Maintain a good relationship / networking with external clients and our business teams. Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions/policies, internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior.

To Be Successful You Will

  • 5 years and above working experience specifically in client on-boarding specifically client connectivity set-up.
  • Experience with file transmission protocol and network systems (common topologies, protocols etc.)
  • Knowledge of encryption techniques and file transfer protocols
  • Multi-tasking. This role requires the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Domain knowledge on Prime Finance, Equity, Trade Allocation & Matching and Swift is preferred.
  • Experience of workflow systems such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Exposure to database structured query language (SQL) in Oracle. Advantage but not required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to UK / US / HK hours
