Position Overview:
The Investment Operations Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting fund operations, cash management, and deal execution support. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of private equity fund structures, debt instruments, and banking operations, combined with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. This role requires close collaboration with investment, finance, and legal teams to ensure accurate processing and reconciliation of transactions, as well as timely reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of private equity fund structures and operations.
- Knowledge in Wires, Settlements and Loan Assets
- Prepare detailed deal analysis and accounting analysis to support investment decisions.
- Prepare funding memos and manage wire processing for investment transactions.
- Understand and manage foreign currency requirements for deals and fund operations.
- Record transactions for deal buys, sells, and investment outflows/inflows accurately.
- Communicate effectively via emails and calls with clients and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Provide audit support for investment existence and related documentation.
- Prepare cash analysis and projection files, including margin requirements and repo transactions.
- Record transactions for cash, FX, and investment outflows/inflows, ensuring timely booking and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2-8 years of experience in fund operations, investment operations, private equity, or investment banking.
- Strong understanding of private equity structures, debt instruments, and fund operations.
- Hands-on experience in transaction processing, cash management, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Excel and fund administration/portfolio management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work in EST or PST shifts.
