Job Purpose
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who possesses strong technical, analytical and organizational skills for our Lending Services Municipal Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess credit worthiness and risk profile of U.S Municipal entities – local governments, school districts, enterprise districts, and community facilities districts (CFDs). Analyze and interpret financial statements reported in CAFR.
- Writing detailed credit reports summarizing entity background, economic and demographic trends, transaction details, key positives, risks, and mitigants of the loans under review
- Work as individual contributor and add the wow factor to analysis performed, ultimately resulting in positive client feedback
- Spread historical financials in Moody's Credit Lens and prepare risk rating metrics.
- Perform detailed credit analysis of municipals, including debt analysis, financial statement analysis, and key credit metrics analysis. Prepare detailed risk rating recommendation.
- Monitor and evaluate risk rating of loans in the current portfolio and suggest upgrade/downgrade based on the latest financial results and current macro environment.
- Identification and implementation of process improvement ideas resulting in the wow factor for the client.
- Guiding and quality checking work of junior team members.
Key Competencies
- MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA
- 3-6 years of experience in public finance credit analysis and report writing
- A self-starter, independent and result-oriented individual.
- Demonstrated ability of achieving results and performing under pressure on a consistent basis.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
