Who are we looking for

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate1 or Associate 2 to join our growing team, with a clear path to Vice President, an equity-holding role. This is a strategically important position for the organisation, one we see it as pivotal to take the business to its next phase of growth (the 0 to 1 phase is complete). This role is ideal for a hard-working and driven professional with a background in investment banking, consulting, or private markets investing/advisory, who is looking for broader responsibility, closer exposure to leadership, and the opportunity to help build a high-quality franchise in the private markets ecosystem. You will lead and execute high-impact client engagements across fundraising strategy and investor materials, working directly with senior leadership, taking ownership of complex workstreams, as well as support the Founder on internal initiatives such as team oversight, hiring, operational management, and strengthening execution standards on a day-to-day basis.

About the role:

LP mandates

  • Execute LP-driven mandates by facilitating targeted outreach in line with LP allocation and portfolio objectives, evaluating fund managers, and conducting GP meetings.
  • Screening and evaluating fund managers based on strategy fit, historical performance, and qualitative factors; conduct benchmarking and competitor analysis to support initial selection.
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence on shortlisted managers, including analysis of track record, investment process, team structure, and alignment with LP portfolio construction goals.
  • Structure and manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables meet client and high internal standards.

GP mandates

  • Support clients in articulating and refining their investment theses, performance narratives, and differentiation.
  • Lead analytical workstreams across fundraising, positioning, and strategic growth mandates.
  • Design and develop high-quality investor materials, including pitch decks, teasers, PPMs, DDQs, and financial models.
  • Conduct market and peer benchmarking, investor mapping, and sector research to support fundraising.
  • Drive LP engagement strategies, including CRM management, LP targeting, and process tracking.
  • Prepare clients for LP meetings, roadshows, and data room readiness.

Strategic projects

  • Partner with clients on long-term initiatives such as performance analytics, ESG integration, and organisational design.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as market mapping and organisational benchmarking to inform investment theses, fundraising positioning, and growth planning for clients.

Internal development

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to training materials and institutional frameworks.
  • Support the Founder on hiring, team structure, and team reviews.
  • Assist with business development efforts and internal knowledge creation across sectors and regions.

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, placement advisory, or similar, with no intention of pursuing masters/MBA in the future;
  • Demonstrated ability to support and mentor junior team members, including overseeing workstreams, providing training, and fostering team development.
  • Have the ability to work successfully in multicultural teams, across borders, and in a remote working environment;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including client presentation experience;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of ownership and attention to detail;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with fluency in financial modelling and investor materials;
  • Familiarity with private markets and the fundraising ecosystem across strategies (e.g., buyout, growth equity, infrastructure, etc.); and
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
