Job Description

What The Role Is

You will lead a team that supports strategic transformation initiatives and policy development involving health-related regulation.

What You Will Be Working On

You will develop and review health regulatory policies — from drafting new legislation and amending existing frameworks, to designing sandboxes for policy experimentation. You will also oversee funding and governance frameworks where industry self-regulation is preferred.

Beyond policy work, you will build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders — from subject matter experts within MOH and the Health Sciences Authority, to other government agencies, industry players, and patient groups. This includes consultation, co-development of plans, and crafting communications and engagement strategies across the full project lifecycle, from upstream design through to downstream implementation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Training in healthcare qualifications and/or a postgraduate degree in a health-related field is an advantage
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience with at least 3 years in a leadership and management role
  • Experience in policy formulation, implementation, or strategic planning[KF1.1]
  • Strong analytical, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and address diverse stakeholder perspectives with socio-political sensitivity
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide officers
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently under pressure

Ideal candidate should also possess the following key competencies:

  • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Learning & Putting Skills into Action – Possesses drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge, and new ways of working
  • Improving & Innovating – Someone who seeks continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved
  • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Able to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose

As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
