We're building a creative team from scratch — a new function designed to produce performance creative, brand assets, and campaign work at the quality and velocity a $50M+ D2C brand demands.
The Role
You're the visual craftsperson in the pod. Paired with a copywriter, you'll conceive and produce performance creative across static, carousel, video, and social formats — work that has to stop a scroll, communicate clearly, and convert. You'll also contribute to building the broader visual language: brand systems, design templates, data visualisation, and digital design components. This is a role where speed and craft coexist. You'll ship volume in sprint cycles while maintaining a quality bar that earns respect
What You will Do
- Conceive and produce performance creative across Meta, paid social, and CTV — static, carousel, video, story formats
- Work as one half of a creative pod (with a copywriter), owning visual output from concept through to final asset
- Develop and maintain scalable design templates and format systems for high-volume production
- Contribute to the broader brand visual system: photography direction, iconography, data visualisation, illustration style
- Produce social content — Instagram carousels, video thumbnails, story templates — that's visually distinctive and platform-native
- Collaborate with motion designers on animated and video-led formats
- Participate in sprint retrospectives, incorporating performance data into visual creative decisions
- Maintain brand consistency across all output while pushing creative boundaries within the system.
What you Bring
- 8+ years as a designer or art director, with significant experience in digital, social, or performance creative
- A portfolio that demonstrates range: performance ads, social content, brand systems, and ideally video/motion-informed design
- Expert-level skills in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and comfort with video editing tools
- Strong typographic sensibility and layout skills — your work looks considered, not templated
- The ability to produce at speed without defaulting to generic. You find ways to inject craft into high-volume output
- Understanding of what works visually in a feed environment — you design for attention, not awards walls
- Collaborative instincts — you make copywriters better, and you take feedback well
Nice to Have
- Motion design skills (After Effects, Lottie) — even at a foundational level
- Experience building or contributing to design systems and component libraries
- Familiarity with 3D rendering tools (Blender, Cinema 4D) for product visualisation
