Burns & McDonnell India has exciting opportunity for Senior Architectural Designer/Draftsman interested in growing their careers. The Bengaluru office is looking for an experienced candidate to join the architectural team of our Global Facilities Global Practice to lead and support architectural design and drafting activities on projects mainly in North America region. This position is responsible for providing a full range of architectural design services on various facility projects including but not limited to Data Centers, Manufacturing facilities for Food/Beverages/Pharmaceuticals, Aerospace hangars and Commercial Buildings. The successful candidate will report to the Architectural Section Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project teams of architects and senior designers in creating models and drawings for a variety of facilities, including office, healthcare, airport, institutional, government, life science, aerospace, and military projects.
- Work closely with the Senior Architect to manage the drafting workload.
- A committed team player able to lead and mentor a team of designers while ensuring quality.
- Develop 3D models in REVIT in various LOD for architecture and interiors while closely coordinating with Architects.
- Review adherence to relevant CAD, Revit and quality standards as applicable.
- Coordinate across structural and MEP disciplines to resolve modelling issues.
Qualifications
A certificate course in REVIT and AutoCAD from an accredited program is required.
A minimum of 9-12 years of experience in architectural drafting.
Prefer previous experience in data centers, healthcare, aerospace, military, airport, industrial and institutional facility related experience. Experience with facilities in North America is a plus.
Knowledge of typical architectural details, drawings, deliverables, preferably as in the US industry
Good knowledge of architectural materials and elements.
Ability to work with other construction related disciplines like Structural and MEP.
Must have the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Expert software and computer skills required including AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite. A high level of REVIT, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Scan to BIM proficiency are mandatory. Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud and Procore is an added plus.
Expertise in Revit Family Creation and parametric components is required.
Familiarity to Dynamo, BIM workflows (IFC, Model Exchange) are preferred.
Fair levels of written, and verbal communication skills in English are required.
