Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect with a strong focus on producing detailed architectural drawings. This is an individual contributor role, ideal for a professional who excels in technical design, documentation, and coordination, and prefers to work independently rather than in a supervisory capacity. The Senior Architect will be responsible for all aspects of architectural drawing production, from concept development through construction documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design & Detailing

Develop conceptual designs and translate them into comprehensive, detailed architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules).

Prepare and refine construction documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements and building codes.

Use advanced CAD/BIM software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) to produce high-quality technical drawings and 3D models.

Create detailed specifications for materials, finishes, and construction methods.

Project Documentation

Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, drawings, and documentation throughout all project phases.

Prepare and submit permit drawings and coordinate with local authorities for approvals.

Revise drawings as needed based on feedback from clients, consultants, or regulatory bodies.

Technical Coordination

Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants to integrate their input into architectural drawings.

Resolve technical issues and discrepancies in drawings, proactively identifying and addressing potential design conflicts.

Ensure all documentation complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

Attend meetings with clients to understand project goals, present design solutions, and incorporate feedback into detailed drawings.

Respond to client queries regarding technical aspects of the design and documentation.

Liaise with contractors and suppliers to clarify details and address site-related questions during construction.

Quality Assurance

Conduct self-reviews and quality checks of all drawings and documents before submission.

Visit project sites as needed to verify that construction aligns with the approved drawings and resolve any on-site issues.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Licensure: Registered Architect (as per local jurisdiction requirements).

Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio of detailed construction drawings.

Technical Skills:

Expert level proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.

In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction techniques, and materials.

Strong ability to produce clear, accurate, and comprehensive technical drawings independently.

Working Conditions
