SENIOR ARCHITECT - Java

  Job Description   What You'll Do:
Architecture & Strategy

Design and architect end-to-end event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and Java ecosystem
Define technical strategy for streaming data platforms and microservices architecture
Create reference architectures, design patterns, and technical blueprints for distributed systems
Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools for the Kafka ecosystem
Ensure architectural alignment with business objectives and scalability requirements

Technical Leadership

Lead architecture review sessions and provide technical guidance to development teams
Establish coding standards, design patterns, and best practices for Kafka-based applications
Mentor senior engineers and conduct architecture training sessions
Drive proof-of-concepts for complex technical challenges
Participate in code reviews for critical components

What We're Looking For:
Experience

10+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in architecture roles
3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in production environments
Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems
Experience with microservices architecture and domain-driven design

Technical Skills:
Core Java & Kafka + Angular or React Js

Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
Deep understanding of Apache Kafka internals (brokers, producers, consumers, partitions, replication)
Strong experience with Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and ksqlDB
Proficiency with Confluent Platform or equivalent Kafka distributions

Event-Driven Architecture

Event sourcing, CQRS, and event-driven architecture patterns
Message serialization formats (Avro, Protobuf, JSON Schema)
Schema Registry and schema evolution strategies
Strong understanding of CAP theorem, eventual consistency, and distributed transactions

Infrastructure & DevOps

Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform)
Cloud platforms (AWS MSK/Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs, GCP Pub/Sub)
Distributed tracing and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)

Data & Integration

Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)
Build tools (Maven, Gradle)
Experience with API design (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)

Security & Compliance

Knowledge of security patterns (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)
Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
