Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to lead and manage design projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of architectural design principles, building systems, local regulations, and project management. This role demands both creative vision and technical expertise to ensure high-quality design outcomes aligned with the firm's standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design development process for large-scale architectural projects, ensuring innovation, functionality, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Supervise and mentor a team of junior and intermediate architects, designers, and draftsmen, guiding them through all project stages.

Prepare and review detailed drawings, construction documents, and presentations with precision and attention to aesthetics and constructability.

Coordinate with consultants, structural and MEP engineers, landscape architects, and contractors to ensure smooth integration of design intent and technical requirements.

Oversee site planning, zoning analysis, building code compliance, and liaison with municipal authorities for approvals and permissions.

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure adherence to schedules and client satisfaction.

Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and ensure quality control during all project phases.

Actively participate in client meetings, presentations, and design discussions, offering creative and strategic design solutions.

Stay updated with current trends in architecture, sustainable design, materials, and technology to continuously improve design outcomes.

Attend meetings, seminars, and networking events to broaden your knowledge and establish connections within the organization inclusive of the Technical Practice Network activities

Review and approve project plans, designs, and timelines

Ensure compliance with client requirements and firm standards

Provide guidance and mentorship to project architects and team members

Approve design concepts before client presentations

Communicate with clients, respond to queries, and address concerns

Ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationships

Interpret client feedback and guide design revisions accordingly

Lead and manage project teams, including project architects and junior architects

Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback

Manage a multidisciplinary design team architects, interior designers, draughtsman and Interns.

Assign project responsibilities based on skillset and workload.

Conduct weekly team reviews to monitor design progress and performance.

Ensure high-quality designs, documentation, and deliverables

Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain firm standards

Timely delivery of design stages.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain records of design reviews, approvals, and revisions.

Submit weekly progress or periodic reports to the Director/Principal Architect on projects and team performance.

Ensure drawing logs, file naming conventions, and document control protocols are followed.

Tools & Systems

Communication Email, Teams, Slack, WhatsApp for quick updates.

Define design goals aligned with the firm's vision.

Forecast manpower requirements, tools, and training needs.

Review and approve department targets, design quality, and timelines.

Mentorship & Team Development

Guide junior team members through training, design reviews, and critiques.

Delegate work efficiently while ensuring delivery standards.

Encourage knowledge sharing on software, detailing, and site execution.

Reporting & Documentation

Submit weekly progress reports to the Director/Principal Architect.

Maintain a record of revisions, and approvals.

Ensure drawing logs, file naming conventions, and document control protocols are followed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.

Minimum 812 years of professional experience in architectural design and project execution.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.

In-depth knowledge of DCPR 2034, NBC, and other local development regulations.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Strong understanding of building systems, materials, detailing, and construction methods.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under tight deadlines.

Proven experience in handling commercial, residential, or institutional projects from concept to completion.

AutoCAD for technical drawings and site layouts.

SketchUp for quick 3D modeling and spatial visualization.

Graphics & Visualization:

Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for presentation boards, diagrams, and visual storytelling. (preferred)

Lumion / Enscape for rendering and immersive visualizations (optional).

Documentation & Collaboration:

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reports and presentations..
