Burns & McDonnell India has an exciting opportunity for Senior Architect interested in growing their career in an organization involved in high-tech building design and construction. The Bengaluru office is looking for an experienced candidate to join the architectural department of our Global Facilities Global Practice to lead and support architectural design activities on projects mainly based in the USA. This position is responsible for providing a full range of architectural design services on various facility projects including but not limited to Data Centers, Manufacturing facilities for Food/Beverages/Pharmaceuticals, Aerospace hangars and Commercial Buildings.
The candidate must demonstrate independent decision-making skills in production of construction deliverables and project execution by coordinating with consultants or client(s). The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager/Department Manager and will have the opportunity to lead and grow the architectural team, while supporting projects with multiple business verticals listed above.
Responsibilities : The Architect will manage project teams of architects and designers to create world class design on a variety of projects from concept design through completion of construction and construction administration. Specific areas of responsibility include the following:
- Work with Operations Manager/Department Manager to grow and lead a team that will handle architectural design and/or construction administrative activities for projects related to multiple business verticals as needed. 2.Manage project teams and work on a variety of projects from conceptual design through construction administration by coordinating closely with the US client facing team. 3.Develop, modify, and review production drawings on projects. 4.Prepare client presentations, review shop drawings, and support other construction administration activities. 5.Build effective relationships with existing clients to help develop new business opportunities. 6.Support major sales and marketing efforts identified as key pursuits by the US team. 7.Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals are met. 8.Provide leadership, guidance, and instructions to the team. 9.Maintain and review QA/QC process adherence. 10.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program is required. 2.Min. 8-10 years of experience. 3.Prefer previous experience in data centers, healthcare, aerospace, military, airport, industrial and institutional facility related experience. Experience with facilities in North America is a plus. 4.Ability to work across disciplines of Architecture, Structural, and MEP. 5.Must have the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
- Expert software and computer skills required including AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). REVIT, AutoCAD, and Sketchup proficiency are mandatory.
- Must have working knowledge of US design codes and standards.
- Registered architect with Council of Architecture in India.
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
