About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in supporting financial applications such as
Bloomberg TOMS, FIS, and TPG. The ideal candidate should have strong production support experience, incident management skills, and the ability to manage critical business applications in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in application support for Bloomberg TOMS, FIS, and TPG systems.
- Strong experience in production support, incident management, and problem management.
- Good understanding of financial systems and transaction processing workflows.
- Experience with SQL for troubleshooting and data validation.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux or Windows environments.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, or other ticketing tools.
- TOMS – Trade Order Management System (commonly Bloomberg TOMS – Bloomberg Trade Order Management Solutions)
- FIS – Fidelity National Information Services (now branded as FIS, provider of banking & financial software solutions)
- TPG – Can vary by organization/context. In finance/accounting systems, it may refer to an internal platform or Third-Party Gateway / Treasury Processing Gateway / Trading Platform Gateway depending on the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for Bloomberg TOMS, FIS, and TPG applications.
- Monitor application performance, batch jobs, interfaces, and daily operations.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution within SLA timelines.
- Coordinate with business users, vendors, infrastructure, and development teams for issue resolution.
- Support finance operations related to transactions, reconciliations, settlements, and reporting.
- Manage application releases, upgrades, patches, and environment changes.
- Prepare incident reports, service metrics, and support documentation.
- Ensure compliance with change management and audit requirements.
- Participate in on-call and weekend support as required.
