We are seeking a skilled SAP Technical Developer & AI Engineer to join our team for the position Senior Application Specialist. The ideal candidate blends deep SAP technical development expertise with a forward-looking mindset in Agentic AI and modern cloud architectures. In this role, you will not only handle complex SAP integrations, full-stack developments, and Clean Core strategies, but you will also support how we automate our ecosystem. You will help mature our current AI automation workflows (transitioning from local tools like Claude Code and Model Context Protocol (MCP)) into robust, production-ready Agentic AI solutions deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, integrations, enhancements, and forms according to business requirements
- Design and develop full-stack applications from SAP backend (ABAP) to frontend (Fiori/UI5)
- Apply performance optimization techniques for both backend and frontend components
- Implement proper error handling and logging mechanisms across the application stack
- Experience on Agentic AI is a plus
Clean Core Implementation
- Apply the Clean Core strategy to maintain a system architecture free from unnecessary customizations
- Develop extensions that are strictly separate from the SAP standard application
- Implement cloud-compliant extensions and integrations that support future upgradability
- Understand and apply side-by-side extensibility concepts using SAP BTP
- Ensure modifications follow the Clean Core principles to reduce technical debt
- Apply appropriate extension methods based on business requirements (in-app, side-by-side, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Additional SAP certifications are a plus
Technical Skills
- 7+ years of experience in SAP Technical development including:
- Core ABAP skillset
- Integration (OData API/RAP/BTP/SOAP/RFC/FTP/IDOC)
- Proficiency in performance analysis and optimization tools
- Knowledge of SAP BTP and extensibility options
- Experience with ABAP Unit Testing and Code Inspector
- Agentic AI solution and experience is a plus
