Senior Application Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Application Engineer to provide domain expertise in extracting customer intelligence

and delivering business intelligence through Ecolibrium's SmartSense™ platform. The role will work with a team

of application engineers to deliver customer delight through SmartSense™ deployment at strategic accounts,

and maximise business value through the right application mix for each account.

The Senior Application Engineer will report to the Head of Application Engineering and combine energy domain

expertise with strong analytical, communication and presentation skills to turn customer data into high-impact

solutions. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring in-depth understanding of energy data, operational

excellence and sustainability principles, and 2–5 years of relevant experience.

THE WORK

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for driving impact, energy optimisation, carbon reduction, improvement in asset

uptime/reliability & workplace environment and predictive maintenance for both existing and new clients

through SmartSenseTM

• Responsible for identifying the scope for improvement with the help of visualisation alongside continuous

integration & application of energy domain knowledge.

• Analyse data, identify potential root causes, and recommend effective solutions.

• Prepare technical reports and effectively take the client through the reports/dashboards.

• Manage/track the progress and follow up with the client for the implementation.

• Develop compelling case studies covering ROI, energy savings, carbon abatement, productivity gains, asset

uptime and reduced manual operational efforts, documenting high-impact solutions.

• Build sustainable relationships of trust with clients through open and interactive communication.

• Support internal teams with smooth deployment of SmartSense™ at client locations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Energy/Environmental Engineering or a related

discipline; master's degree preferred.

• 2–5 years of experience in energy management, commercial building operations, building automation, smart

buildings, facility management or related industries.

• Deep knowledge of energy efficiency principles for commercial, industrial and data centre environments and

HVAC/BMS/EMS/IoT/Automation.

• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, and an effective communicator with customers.

• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively.

• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and quick to analyse, incorporate and apply new

information and concepts.

Desirable

• Master's degree in Energy Management, or a PG Diploma/specialised course in Reliability or Sustainability.

• BEE-Certified Energy Auditor/Manager with experience in energy assessment.
