Intelligence-fueled.As an SRE responsible for Azure API Management (APIM), your key responsibilities would include: designing and implementing reliable API solutions using APIM, monitoring and optimizing API performance, automating infrastructure management through tools like Terraform, managing API policies for security, collaborating with development teams to ensure API standards are met, providing production support including on-call rotations, and actively troubleshooting issues to maintain high API availability.
. Hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM) - design, deployment, and policy configuration.
. Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API lifecycle management.
. Expertise in OAuth 2.0, JWT, Azure AD, and API security best practices.
. Proficient in C# / .NET or Python / JavaScript for API development and integration.
. Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and App Services integration.
. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform).
. Familiar with API monitoring, logging, and performance tuning using Application Insights.
. Understanding of rate limiting, caching, throttling, and request transformation policies.
. Exposure to Kubernetes or containerized deployments for APIs.
. Strong communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills across development and operations teams.
