Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs for various banking applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of APIs
- Optimize API performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in API development
- Mentor and guide junior developers in the team
- Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical solutions
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in API development
- Strong knowledge of API design principles and best practices
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js
- Experience with API management tools such as Apigee or Mulesoft
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Parameters
- Experience in the banking or financial industry is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure is preferred
- Certification in API development is a plus
