About the Role

We're looking for a Senior AOSP Platform Engineer to develop, customize, integrate, secure, and maintain Android-based OS platforms for embedded products — automotive and medical device systems. This is deep platform work: understanding how Android boots, how services communicate, how hardware meets the framework, and how the platform is secured.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, customize, integrate, and maintain production AOSP platforms
• Develop and modify Android framework, native, and system components
• Develop and integrate system services and Binder/AIDL interfaces
• Integrate and debug HAL, vendor components, and SoC/BSP integration
• Debug issues spanning framework, HAL, vendor, BSP, kernel, and firmware
• Develop and troubleshoot SELinux policies
• Work with Android boot flow, init, permissions, VINTF, and Project Treble
• Implement and support Secure Boot, AVB, and platform-security mechanisms
• Support CTS/VTS platform validation and OTA update mechanisms
• Improve AOSP build, CI/CD, and integration workflows

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years hands-on AOSP development at source/platform level
• Strong C/C++ and Android system architecture knowledge
• Binder/AIDL, HAL and vendor-component integration
• Android BSP and SoC vendor integration experience
• SELinux policy development and debugging
• Android boot flow, init, permissions, platform configuration
• Strong Linux/Android system-level debugging across layers
• AOSP build systems (Soong), Git, structured dev practices

Good to Have

• Qualcomm platform/BSP integration
• Secure Boot, AVB, dm-verity, FBE/dm-crypt, Keystore/KeyMint, StrongBox
• ARM TrustZone / TEE, hardware-backed attestation
• VINTF, Project Treble, A/B & Virtual A/B OTA
• CTS/VTS/GTS, security-patch integration
• Linux kernel and Device Tree exposure
• Experience with regulated/security-sensitive/long-lifecycle products

Who This Role Is Not For

Android app developers (Kotlin/Java/SDK/Jetpack/Compose/UI) without substantial platform-level experience, and candidates with under 5 years of relevant experience.
