Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end debugging and root-cause analysis of complex multimedia, display, and graphics issues.
- Debug and enhance components across the Android Display & Graphics pipeline, including:
- SurfaceFlinger, HWC/HWC2, Gralloc/Allocator
- DRM/KMS, display controller pipelines, panel drivers
- GPU driver interfaces and rendering pipelines
- Investigate issues such as:
- Frame drops, jank, tearing, flicker, blank display
- Rendering artifacts, latency problems, synchronization failures
- Memory leaks, buffer lifecycle issues, fence deadlocks
- Analyze performance, power, and latency using Perfetto, Systrace, ftrace, GPU counters, and vendor tools.
- Work closely with SoC vendors and internal platform teams to drive issue resolution.
- Support platform bring-up and stabilization for new devices and features.
