How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)

Engine & APU Lease Programs supports the operational execution of Delta's engine and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) lease programs within the Supplier Operations organization. Reporting to the Manager, Supplier Operations, this role is responsible for managing lease assets across their full lifecycle—from acceptance into Delta through utilization tracking and final return processing.

This position works in close partnership with Program Managers, Delta Material Services (DMS), Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, Planning, Finance, Supply Chain, and external lessors to ensure accurate asset tracking, compliance, and efficient program execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lease Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Support the end-to-end operational management of engine and APU lease assets.
  • Process new lease assets into Delta systems, , ensuring accurate financial, and contractual data entry.
  • Coordinate lease asset acceptance activities with internal stakeholders and external lessors.
  • Facilitate the timely lease return of assets from Delta systems at lease end.

System Processing & Data Management

  • Maintain and update lease asset records across applicable Delta systems.
  • Ensure data integrity for asset utilization and lease terms.
  • Perform audits and validation checks to ensure alignment between contractual agreements and system records.

Utilization & Reporting

  • Generate and manage utilization reports for leased engines and APUs.
  • Track hours, cycles, and other obligations required for lease compliance.
  • Provide reporting support to Lease Program Managers and Finance teams.

Records Research & Documentation

  • Research, collect, and maintain documentation related to leased assets, including maintenance records, delivery conditions, and return requirements.
  • Support preparation of documentation required for lease returns and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with lease agreements and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Partner with Supplier Operations Program Managers to support program execution.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Planning, Materials, Finance, and DMS to resolve contractual and operational issues and ensure alignment.
  • Interface with external lessors and service providers regarding asset status, documentation, and contractual obligations.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve lease asset tracking, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
  • Support initiatives to standardize processes and enhance operational performance.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (aerospace or mechanical preferred) or comparable experience in an engineering related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience working for Airlines supporting in Technical Records domain for Engines & APU.
  • Familiarity with aircraft, engine, and component records.
  • Good Understanding of electronic record tracking systems
  • Should possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to handle several projects simultaneously with minimum supervision, well organized and able to prioritize work to meet established deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to coordinate workflow to multiple disciplines.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast paced and high-volume environment.
  • Must have a strong sense of customer service.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Prior aviation records experience with any other Airlines or MRO Set up.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of OEM source documents including major assembly, component and aircraft repair manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)/Illustrated Parts List (IPL), and manufacturer standard practice manuals and FAA technical record policies preferred.
