Pratt & Whitney Canada Supply Chain, Indirect Procurement (also referred to as non-product)

Role Overview:

The Indirect Procurement Buyer plays a vital role in managing the acquisition of non-product goods and services. This position ensures smooth procurement operations by collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors, maintaining compliance, and optimizing purchasing processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Process and convert procurement requests into purchase orders efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payment related issues with vendors.
  • Provide support for procurement inquiries from vendors, colleagues, and Commodity Specialist Managers.
  • Conduct Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and compliance related tasks as required.
  • Identify and share best practices to improve procurement processes and communication.
  • Prioritize tasks dynamically while maintaining high service standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Excellent English & French (certified) verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 2-5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, including purchase order creation, invoice resolution, purchase order modifications, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP and SAP Ariba procurement functions is preferred
  • Experience in Ariba indirect procurement is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role within procurement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum required).
  • A customer centric mindset, ensuring smooth interactions and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
